    1Brno Chair Old Version
      • Light Red Leather

In homage to Ludwig Mies van der Rohe our reproduction BRNO CHAIR is a fitting tribute to this very talented and innovative German furniture designer. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was widely regarded as a master of pioneering modern architectural styles, and did as much for modernism as the grand masters of the Classical and Gothic eras. While it is fair to say that the BRNO CHAIR had the typical minimalist appearance of the modernist movement, and was a fusion of sleek form and functionality his designs always contained an undercurrent of the classic furniture design. A fresh take on a classic theme, his designs are timeless in appeal judging by their continuing popularity.

The name Ludwig Mies Van Der Rohe is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trade mark.

      Ludwig Mies van der Rohe

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886 –1969) was a German architect. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, along with Walter Gropius and Le Corbusier, is widely regarded as one of the pioneering masters of Modern architecture. Mies, like many of his post World War I contemporaries, sought to establish a new architectural style that could represent modern times just as Classical and Gothic did for their own eras.
