Sori Yanagi was a designer of the Tokyo school and was a prolific designer of modern furniture which relied heavily on the influences of classic Japanese design aesthetics. His original BUTTERFLY STOOL was a classic example which we pay homage to today with our retro reproduction BUTTERFLY STOOL. Form fused with functionality and the classic minimalist lines are typical of Japanese furniture design down the centuries.

The name Sori Yanagi is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trade mark.
