Themed on an original design by the celebrated French metal worker and self taught architect Jean Prouvé, our superb reproduction STANDARD CHAIR is one of a collection which pays homage to his contribution to modern furniture design and manufacture. The skill of Jean Prouvé was the way in which he transferred manufacturing technology from industry to architecture and furniture design, without losing any of the aesthetic qualities. Such is the design aesthetic of the work of Jean Prouvé there are original examples of his STANDARD CHAIR and other designs on permanent display in museums around the world. An honour such as this is bestowed on few designers, and only an elite few are ever recognised for their original works.

The name Jean Prouvé is only used to describe the characteristics of the goods made to the original design, and not as a trade mark.
